Title: Non Mazda SD card for satnav

Has anybody bought a non Mazda SD card Map update that will reliably work in the car rather than being ripped off............@£100 for the latest map

Doesn't really answer the question, but - if you have a smartphone - install the Waze app. It will always be more up to date than any card based nav system.

PS - it's free...

I know this is a  old thread, but there could be an answer? I have just traded a VW Tiguan for my KF CX-5 and the mapping is the same Here brand. With VW you download the latest maps for free and put them on the original VW sd card after deleting the existing map file. I'm wondering if the map files are the same format? The VW sd card has hidden files that activate the map software, so does the Mazda sd card do the same?

I have checked to see if the VW Here maps are the same format. Sadly, they are different to the Ma,da maps. I will continue to use Tomtom Amigo via Android Auto, thankfully free and includes speed cameras, speed limit warnings, traffic and weather.
