Polish or wax?

GRAVY:
Hi,

I've had my pearlescent white CX5 since March. To protect the paint work a little I am now thinking of applying a layer of polish / wax. I've read that there is a difference between these two items!! A polish contains fillers for filling in those tiny scratch on the surface of the paint, but you then need a sealer to apply on top. A wax is just a protective layer on top of a clean car.

I was thinking that because my car is only 6 months old, I just need a wax for it. No need for a polish.

Am I right thinking this way?

Any recommendations as to which one to use?

Thanks

Graham

Correct

I think the first part answers this part of the question - in short, you also need to polish.

Thanks Deeps.

If a polish is still required, even though my car is only 6 months old, when would one use a wax only?

Cheers
