Title: slight knock when breaking from a change in direction
Post by: m0bov on January 14, 2020, 11:20:36 am
Hi all, got a facelift auto cx5. I noticed, if a go to reverse and then apply the break, I can hear a slight knock, then when I move forward and apply brake I get the same thing. It only does it once until I change direction and again just once.

Any ideas?

If from the front it could be the same as I had.
The rack road end on the near side was worn due to potholes.

Another “knock” I had for a year until my next service. Turned out the air filter was loose in its container.  When changed the knock went.
