Just received an e-mail from Mazda to participate in the above. Link below. Have just filled it in as it only takes about 5mins.

Marked it down for phone problems. Up to yesterday my car had been connecting to my phone ever since I had the battery disconnected to fit the tow bar wiring. Now its not connecting again. Gave it low marks for that, cars back in on the 9th Feb.

Not sure whether or not you made mention of battery disconnection in another post or anything of similar lines but in today's edition of one of our most popular motoring magazines over here they printed an article regarding battery removal. By all accounts battery removal should be left to the dealer as they have the equipment to memorize all the settings (what Mazda term Memory Saver according to the article) for the sliding roof, electric windows, tyre pressure monitoring, Start-Stop and all things to do with the MZR - radio and telephone etc. It is mandatory for automatic vehicles according to the article. The article also states that the whole process of battery removal, refitting and reinstalling all the settings from the Memory Saves takes approx 18mins.

Of course you may already know all this so kindly disregard if that is the case. Just thought I'd post it as it was a featured article as already said.

Likewise. The car hadn't missed a beat otherwise; but as anyone who was following the threads on the "Other Forums" the issues were lamentable. My problems were compounded by the arrogance of the dealership, so those were the points I made clear. I know Mazda has moved on since but is was a poorly handled affair.
