Used radar cruise on M1 from sheffield to east midlands airport, first impressions not a fan, especially when its busy despite what setting you have it on folk constantly changing lanes and car braking for you. It will take some practice and getting use too. To be able to get the best out of the system. I will continue to use it until ive got to grips with it

I've not dared use my radar cruise yet. M1 not really suitable for experimenting as found by rmvf.

Dunhill - You will find Anchorman is the exact opposite of being a bully and very helpful so I hope your comment was in jest :) I too would like to know how the radar cruise control works whether by plate, camera or whatever?

Yes, thanks Jonno, I really was curious about what the plate is.  I thought it had some sort of lens but I know little about radar.

what i wanted to say was RADAR EMITTER but  i could not spell it correctly at the time hence the term plate :-[.   there is no lens but a emitter that emitts radar pulses to judge distances very similar to microwaves---i know this because i have a CSE grade 1 in physics :P

Oh right.  I must have a read up and if I offended you I sincerely apologise.

As for CSE’s, thats what I got in my day too but can’t even remember if I did physics.  I got a Grade 1 in geography so let me know if you need a refresh on ox-bow lakes!

Left school at 15 with nowt - not even in spelling.  ;D Come twenty eight I decided to better myself and following six years of study came away with an Open University degree. Still can't spell although you can now add arithmetic to the list as I use a calculator for anything involving the adding or subtraction of numbers above ten. That said, I'm the man to turn to if you want to know about the mating process of the humble garden worm.  ;D

Amazing how many were informed by their teachers they'd never amount to anything and guess who falls into that Category ! Well I gained all the requisite qualifications to become a fully skilled Motor Vehicle Technician at College.

Following 13 years in the trade I decided to change career at 28 joining the Police where i did a total of 28 years gaining medals on the way and now I am semi retired where I drive LGV 1 artic's when it pleases me.

Own my own home and cars, go on holidays to exotic places etc etc. so I guess being one of those who will never achieve anything I have managed to achieve a fair bit since
