Keyless System Malfunction
« on: May 08, 2020, 02:39:17 pm »
Your thoughts please....

The amber warning light ‘keyless system malfunction ‘ has come up although the car starts, the fob seems to be working ok and all systems seem operative.

Any thoughts on what it could be. Thanks.

Apart from two short journeys the car has sat on the drive unwashed since lockdown.

Does it occur when you use your 2nd fob?

Try changing the battery for starters, as I found mine very intolerant to
battery volt drop?
Although it showed as OK on my voltmeter, car said otherwise :-\

Do you mean the car battery - or the key fob battery?
The car battery was fully conditioned using a CTek conditioner.
I have changed the battery in one key fob.
I have tried the other fob.
I still get the message but everything seems to working fine.
