Cost of first service
« on: March 27, 2015, 10:18:52 am »
Having just bought my CX-5 on Monday of this week, I'm waiting for the dealership to set up a three year service plan for me. It's cost is ?299 which I thought to be reasonable.
Rang them yesterday to chase it up, still no one from service has got back to me, hence is it worth me keeping the money and ringing around dealerships for the cheapest service quote when the time comes?

I would chase them again. If it is truly £299 for a 3 year service plan, that is an incredibly low price. You might want to recheck that.

For what it's worth, the servicing on mine cost (inc VAT):-
12.5k
25k
37.5k - ?284.46
50k - ?288.91

Can't lay my hands on the first two at the moment, will have a look later but I think they were around the cost of the others. At ?299 for three years, I'd say you're onto a winner, assuming you're doing more than 24999 miles in that time!

Yes, definitely been quoted that price twice by the sales manager, however I'm sensing being given the runaround now.
Just called the service department at the dealership and awaiting a call back from them.
I'll keep you posted.

Cheers Alan, according to those figures it's well worth it.

Got a call from the dealership today telling me that they will sort it out this week.
From what I understand the service plan normally costs £599, it must be therfore subsidized by Mazda at the moment to half the cost.
Anyone buying a CX-5 at the moment, it might be a good idea to ask the question.

Well it's finally come through.  :) :) :)

Paid £299 for a Personal Service Plan from Mazda UK for 36 month cover.
Services at 12500, 25000 & 37500.
On the plan it states a total cost of £649, so less than half the normal cost.

Got the impression dealerships don't push this and most customers are blissfully unaware of it.
So anyone buying a new CX-5 do yourself a favour and take a look into this.

Just for info, when I phoned the dealership for a price for the first service I was quoted £195 :o
