List price for the top spec CX-5 in the UK is £31,655 (€44,317 at 1.40 € to the £). That's the 175PS AWD auto in Soul Red which is the dearest paint option.  Only other options are the safety pack at £800 (€1,120 Euros) and Stone Leather at £200 (€280).

List price for the top spec CX-5 in Germany (SkyActive-Drive AWD 175PS Automatic) is €43,060 (£30,465) but Mazda have an Action Offer on at the moment which reduces this to €41,560 (£29,333) which can of course be reduced further by negotiating with the dealer.
This price includes the €650 for the Adaptive Cruise Control, €770 for the glass Sunroof, €2000 for white leather seats and €750 for the Rubinrot (red) paint job.

Back on topic, the power of the heated seats, ride height, the sky-active petrol engine linked with good gear ratio,s, quality of the front lights including high beam and I know it might sound funny but just getting in and out of it, the seat height is perfect no banging of heads and falling into seat, no struggle on exit. plenty of rear legroom, the way the rear seat fold down. Gear shift indicator. stop start real good clocked up 44 hours in 3 1/2 year. I could go on but fear I may be boring some by now,lol

You've covered a lot there and all spot on. I love the fact the facelift model is such a rare sight up my way. I've seen two on the road in two months so it still feels special and exclusive.

I completely agree with that! I've only seen 4 other facelift models on the road since I ordered mine back in May. Bizarrely 2 were within 5 mins if each other a couple of weeks back. It's still a rare sight though, even in south east London!

The low beam range on my 2009 Xtrail with bi- Xeons was much better than my present cx-5 which cuts off noticeable shorter.

I did ask for them to be adjusted but was told they where ok, so I just have to drive slower at night.
I've also read a few posts from VW ex owners saying the same thing.

I see a few more old models now, but still not many, and so far only one new version.
He was more interested in looking at my car than I was his for some reason, I still have cars traveling on my shoulder giving the car the once over, usually after I've left them behind going round a island at speed, the CX-5 does encourage spirited driving.

Has anyone actually carried a full load and/or perhaps with a heavy trailer (caravan) on the back. I'd be interested to hear how good the supposed self-levelling headlights actually are. Whilst I find the lighting overall very good on my CX-5 I was particularly interested in the self-levellers - no more rotating the dial from the 1 to 3 position as was the case with my VW Touran - but until next Spring won't actually be tugging the caravan so no idea whether or not the levellers work in practise.

I tow a 1565kg caravan with mine, with out effort I might add.
I also use the full 88kg nose weight allowance, the rear drops very little, but unfortunately I haven done any towing in the dark for years.

Given the very minor drop to the rear I wouldn't expect any problems with the levelling, the Xtrail was the same self levelling, but with a longer range.

Ah, now that's indeed good news - particularly that the rear end doesn't drop that much. Yet another plus point for the CX-5 lol. I only tow an Hymer Eriba Triton 430 at max. 1200kg so will probably have to check in the rear view mirror more often than was the case previously to ensure that the van is still actually there.  ;D

Another item I like are the 19" Sport Nav alloys. They look really cool and, although they give a slightly firmer ride, the tyres have a higher profile than my previous cars. Helps avoid kerbing and they don't appear quite so dirty in winter. They also fill the wheel arches much better compared to the 17s.

O yes I really love my CX5 in fact I changed to the 2015 model 3 Sept, sport nav in Soul Red with Stone interior.
The only difference to the first is the colour that was Zeal Red.
So, I love the appearance inside and out.
I love the auto folding mirrors, (paid for option)
I love the diesel engine (so smooth)
      I love the heated seats
I love the way it handles so well
I loved the 2013 model also, but this seems even better cant understand it, it seems smother quieter and with an extra zoom
of coarse it is meant to be quieter, thicker glass and more sound proofing. But that extra zoom is a puzzle,  Wife things so too.
But sadly We Hate the new sat nav.

I like its name : CX-5.

Captur, Kadjar, Tiguan, Mokka, Corsa, Meriva, Cascade, Astra, Talisman, Mégane, Trafic...........sigh.

Compare it with a Boeing jetliner. The 707, the 737 etc are universally known. Idem : an Airbus 300, 310.... and the 380.

I love the residuals.

Although sadly I don't think my next trade in will be worth so much, model is near its life now.

I like its name : CX-5.

I actually liked it so much that my number plate is also CX 5. First two letters which indicate place of registration I have blanked out in the image to prevent possible identity theft.

I've just had a wee break on the West Coast of Scotland  but it coincided with storm Desmond. Really impressed by the  CX5's stability in high winds, lack of aquaplaning when ploughing through water at speed, the higher ground clearance and long distance  ride comfort. Really pleased with our purchase. .. now waiting for the snow....
