Faulty Rear View Camers
« on: January 26, 2017, 01:53:56 pm »
I have a 2015 CX-5 and the rear view camera often malfunctions, mostly by the view slowly scrolling up the screen.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Not personally, no, although it sounds like a software problem rather than hardware. It might be worth contacting your dealer and enquiring whether there is a firmware update for your car.

IMHO either way it's not working properly and should be covered by the warranty.  I'd take it back to Mazda.

No, and have never heard that issue raised before either. Sounds like a dealer visit is in order...

Thanks for the replies.  I just wondered if anyone else had this problem
The fault is intermittent but fortunately when I took the car in, the service manager was able to video the fault.  Have had software upgrade - no effect.  I'm told that there is now a major software release so we'll try again.
Thanks
