Well, that's a new one...
« on: March 14, 2016, 01:18:00 pm »
...another glitch in the matrix?  ::)

Bluetooth audio - info on dash display not keeping up with what the phone is actually playing. If you look at the photo, you will see that I'm now 50 minutes and 24 seconds into a track which is only 3 minutes 42 seconds long! Have had this happen a couple of times now but previously, it has always recovered if switching to DAB and back or when the vehicle has been restarted. Not this time though.

Have you monitored the progress bar from start to finish, just wondering what it reads.

Yes, the bar goes from 0 to 100% in the correct time for the track. It's just the time on the left that keeps going.

Is it the total time of the playlist perhaps ?

Nope, it's incremental time from when the first track started playing. It just keeps adding tracks on in time and keeps the details of the first track that was played on the display. The phone, meanwhile, is showing the current track and time. That particular playlist is about 8 1/2 hours (Spotify).

Is it not just total time played in this 'session' ie. without switching to radio or turning off the ignition? Maybe that's what it is supposed to show.

I suppose it is, but its not what it's supposed to show. The time on the right is the total track length, the one on the left is the time through that track. When the track changes, the info should update to the next track with the times resetting as necessary. Mostly that does happen; occasionally it fails to update and track details and track time remain static, the running time just keeps going...

Is it only applicable to the HTC one, or all phones?

I wish Mazda had a website for suggesting updates or reporting bugs such as yours.
Since november my car has been updated twice, while yet another update is out, as many updates as win 10.

So tested mine today while wife was in the supermarket.

Using a HTC 511 with the same software version (511), mine worked fine as expected.
Tried it on the BT, USB, and the CD, all tracking started at zero and incremented progressively.
