Troubleshooting / Re: Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree.

Hi, did you ever resolve this. I get the SCBS light, tyre pressure etc. the same.

But now it’s got a distinct lack of power, it doesn’t rev over 3000rpm, drives flat and has no turbo and can bellow out loads of white smoke if I put my foot down.

Interior Trim / Front Seats
« Last Post by Heath St John on February 14, 2024, 07:19:13 pm »
Please could somebody explain how I'm able to adjust the electrically operated front seats on my car  when there is no power on at all ?
The battery is charged. But they work in all directions when there is no power turned on at all.
Although I'd enjoy the mystery if no one knows, my baffled reason shall never be able to accept it.
But if the answer reveals some simple thing I'm forgetting, since this is public, some future person may enjoy unexpectedly finding the answer.
It's a September '22, GT Sport.
Thanks.

Poor Quality

Last week my gear stick went all wobbly :o; couldn't select any gears.
Had to be towed to local Mazda garage, and collecting car later today at cost of £385  :'(

Never had this in any other car I've owned; thank goodness I took out RAC
Extended Warranty cover ;D

Anyone else suffered?

Although this is true of recent BMW, Mercedes and VAG  group models and some American makes I have found no reference to Mazda or other Japanese  makes. But I stand to be corrected.

You need a sophisticated diagnostic tool to re code battery; perhaps when car next in for service
you could get garage to do it. As I understand it, as battery ages +capacity reduces, the BCM will get the alternator to send out a higher charge voltage.
This isn't healthy for new battery.

I didn't  everything just worked.
Read about supposedly needing to code it in but never found guidance on how to do it.
I think if you can swap hem over within a few minutes most settings are retained.
Just for interest this cars battery did 5 years and my previous 2013 cx5 bought at 5 1/2 yesrs had a newish battery fitted.

Did either of you get your batteries coded to the car, so alternator knows you have a new battery, and sends out lower voltage for charging?
