Both rear shocks leaking at 8,500m
« on: May 26, 2021, 02:27:48 pm »
Just had my 2nd service at local dealership; they pointed out one area of concern
was leakage on both rear shocks.

They did call Mazda HO for permission to swap out, but were told this
leakage is quite normal, and they wouldn't authorise.

I've therefore asked them to submit a goodwill claim as they'll only get worse :-[

Similar situation:

Had a 2nd annual service yesterday. Both rear shocks are misting. (at 6,200 miles -  :'( lockdown, no driving)
Anyway, it was marked as 'amber', so not in red yet. Fella at a dealer said it would be replaced by a warranty if in red.

Thinking about it - leaking shocks are MOT failure and while there is no need for MOT for now, isn't it an  issue of such level that must be sorted?

After pushing my dealer, they agreed to replace, and claim on MAZDA under warranty. ;D

So they should
Motorcycles are my favourite form of transport but CX-5 is smooth.
