Hello all.
I’ve encountered this once before some years back and cannot recollect how it got resolved.
All the songs on my USB drive are suddenly showing ‘unknown artist’ when playing. They were fine for many many months then suddenly just show ‘unknown artist’. And if I try and choose songs by artist, it tells me there are none.
I’ve since added and deleted some tracks back on my laptop; reformatted the USB drive; used the alternative usb socket in the car – makes no difference. The tracks all have the (contributing) artist set correctly when I check on my PC.
I guess I could do a hard reset of the CMU but then I’ll lose all my favourites especially the SatNav favourites.
I’m using the latest software – 70.00.367.
Anyone else encountered this oddity which I think must be some sort of intermittent software bug.
