convertible for the summer
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:02:29 pm »
Hey folks,
After a convertible for the summer obviously  mx5 is the main contender but I'm putting it out there if any of you have had good experiences with other brands in would like to hear from you, still undecided weather to go for 2 seater or larger with 4. Stuff that's taking my fancy is a Z4m, porcshe boxster,  audi  TT,

Relieved to read that - title made me think you'd had a low bridge incident!

MX5 has to be the obvious choice. My neighbour runs an aged RX7 which seems to offer impressive performance for little outlay. It all depends on your budget and needs but I'd be looking at 'proper' convertibles like the ones you mention rather than warm hatches.

Or if you are thinking new, here's a MX5 dressed in Italian leather http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/fiat/fiat-124-spider-review/

Ha ha,

now a cx5 convertible that would be excellent at least rest of traffic wouldn't be looking down into car, I need to do some photo shop work trying to imagine what it would look like.

MX-5 no contest. BM & Boxster court the type of person who would want one, if you get what I mean. Audi TT, Gay Hairdressers car.

BM Z3 not too bad as long as you get a good one with history, looks more retro than the Z4, and are going up in value.

Just consider what would sell well when the time comes or you get fed up with the idea, the Mazda is popular and on the up. The early ones are collectibles.

Personally I would wait for the hardtop mx5 to come out. It looks superb but probably we'll have to wait a while before it comes to our shores ????
