It is quite easy to do on your PC, the system will then copy the necessary files onto an USB-stick which you connect in your car. The CMU will automatically recognize the files and install them.

Besides the wallpaper, I installed the following tweaks : 

- Enable touchscreen while moving.
- Remove disclaimer completely.
- Remove the safety warning from the reverse camera.
- Remove the blank album art frame.
- Install date to statusbar.
- Install speedcam patch.
- Install 1 sec diagnostics menu.
- Disable boot animation.

I'm at present awaiting yet another CMU replacement for BT connection failures, so it will be sometime before i get round to trying them.

Does the "date to status bar" also enable the phone signal to be visible even with a street name?
