I usually love the exclusivity of my CX-5 - I still rarely see others on the road.

This afternoon however, I saw 5 in the space of two short trips to and from the local shopping centre. Might as well be driving a Qashquai at this rate!!!  ????

Not relevant to everybody, but I like the fact that I can put my golf clubs in the boot sideways without having to take the driver out of the bag, and I can get my trolley in the boot along with them without having to fold down the back seats.

When I got my first one three years ago they were as rare as hens teeth. See a few more on the road nowadays though.

For me I love the riding position, the ease of operation for the controls, and the 60 mpg figure I get!

I really enjoy driving mine, particularly:

keyless entry
the centre console dial for the radio etc
armrest
heated seats
voice activated phone dialling
range of beam on dipped headlights
the boot parcel shelf that raises with the tailgate
the lit up CX 5 logo on the door sills
stone leather interior

and basically the overall look and drive, and the smooth auto gearbox :-)  :)

1628kg, it's the 2WD 2.2 diesel 150ps. It's a company car so the 119 g/km Co2 emissions keep the tax bill lower.

Ok you need to alter your profile its showing 175ps.

Awd uses about another 3 mpg, auto another 3 mpg approx, then my car weighs around another 50kg on top of my 1703kg, spare wheel is around 27kg and towbar another 21kg minimum. So i'm using fuel to move another 120kg approx!

Even the government figures are around 10mpg different which goes some way to explain your MPG in comparison to mine.
I tow a caravan so the extra weight is welcome when towing, but not solo.

If you are unaccustomed to working with quote layering please avoid doing it.  I know the answer is in there but it's position in the post does not make sense and is confusing for those who have not followed the thread.

Thank you

What do you get towing?  I've not used the CX, but in a Seat Alhambra my economy halved when pulling my Sterling Europa

Most I've had towing 1565kg with the manual was 34mpg, I only had this twice, usually its anywhere from 24 to 28mpg.

I have yet to tow with the auto, in fact I only finished wiring and fitting the tow bar I removed from the old car.

I like the fact nothing has gone wrong. Also love the memory seats, the keyless entry, the Soul Red metallic paint, the 17 inch alloys on the Sport Nav, the stop start and the stability through water. All we've got do do is try to keep the mileage down... but we just love driving it.

Got to agree with that - I still love driving ours!

Just one thing......the Sport Nav has 19" alloys......unless you've downgraded?   :D

Oops! Yes, you're absolutely  correct. We do have 19" alloys. Got 17s on the brain just now. Just fitted winter tyres onto a new set of 17s inch alloys for my Golf Gti. Hoping for snow now ....

If you can remember when the time comes, perhaps you'd like to update us with the mpg when towing. I'd also be particularly interested to hear any thoughts/comments that you have regarding the attitude (nose up, nose down) the caravan takes considering you have 19" wheels.
