Side Windows rubbers not touching glass

(1/2) > >>

MikeHunter:
Has anyone got a problem with all 4 side windows not touching the bottom window rubber when running the windows up and down to clear mist /condensation from the outside of the window glass ,there is a gap of 1 or 2 mm. i have recently bought the car new and the dealer won't do anything and say there is nothing wrong.

howardsathome:
Fair point. I have to say that I have found this to be a problem on all cars that I have driven in recent years!

Anchorman:
They tend not to have too much pressure on the seal these days because the glass can get scratched when you send it down. It’s not there to wipethe window, it’s there to stop leaves and larger debris getting inside the door. Just send it down at a junction or wipe the outside before you set off.

MikeHunter:
Thanks but I'm still not convinced about my car windows ,as when the window is closed the rubber seal is tight against the glass ,but as soon as the window is lowered ,even 1 centemetre to all the way down the rubber does not have contact with the glass.
This is the only car that I've known to do this.
Is it just my car or are all CX5s like this ?

YX1109:
My 2018 seems to be the same, the glass does not touch the rubber. Have to clear the condensation
with a cloth. Not the first car to I have had to do it this way. Mazda V.W's Fords.
