Cancelling a route or waypoint

Has anyone found a way of cancelling a route when you're on a journey?  Ditto for removing a waypoint?

Unlike on my previous car I'm puzzled at lack of a ROUTE CANCELLATION option????????

From sat nav screen, menu then second option in the list, then confirm

Or voice, but 'cancel route' doesn't work because 'cancel' cancels voice control...
