Is it good enough for me to cancel my RAC membership?

Operated by Mondial apparently, but haven't experience of using them;
am sure others who have, will chip in.
I'd say save the RAC subscription.

Covers you for 3 years I believe.

I've used it twice in 7 years.

First time I had an engine check light come up so they sent someone out to the office - it was an RAC engineer
Second time was a recovery (as a precaution) due to the oil pressure light coming on about 100 miles from home - that was an AA recovery vehicle.

Both were efficient and quick. They obviously must factor it out through...

Living in Germany I obviously can't comment on how the system works over in the UK but for those who tow a caravan I highly recommend contacting Mazda UK and enquiring whether the caravan is also covered in the event that the towcar needs to be trucked off somewhere. I never did receive a satisfactory answer when I put the question to Mazda over here and as a result decided to continue with my ADAC membership who do include the caravan recovery if required.
On the plus side, the Mazda recovery service is automatically renewed indefinitely following each and every obligatory service and not for the first 3 years as in the UK I believe.
