Satnav lane view
« on: October 30, 2015, 12:03:13 pm »
On the Honda  cr-v garmin satnav it says "displays upcoming junctions with photo realistic images of junctions and exists with arrow lane indication to provide guidance "

Does the tomtom do this in the CX-5
Thanks for any replies.

Not sure what they mean by "photo realistic" but the MZD system (2015 models onwards) displays a background of trees and/or buildings on the lane assist at junctions and helpfully switches to silhouettes and a starry sky at night  ::). I don't remember this happening on the TomTom version (2012-15 models), but could be wrong. I'm not sure whether it would even be a good idea - assuming it could somehow use the latest images from Google Streetview they could still be years out of date, so I'm not sure how much use it would be . Could potentially be more of a distraction?

See if I can explain it a bit better.
Does it show you which lane you should be in at a junction for example......having never had this option on our very old stick on the windscreen Tom tom.
We didn't have it in the Nissan QQ either
