Title: Another camshaft turbocharger failure
Post by: Glenrowan on January 06, 2021, 06:58:31 pm
CX-5 is a 63 plate (Oct 13) with 92K miles . Initial fault was a failed turbocharger. Subsequent checks revealed engine damage included a cylinder head. Camshaft needed replacing.
Last four services (since warranty expired) were on time but done outside the Mazda network.
Goodwill claim was submitted to Mazda UK who agreed to pay the full cost of repairs.

You were lucky  Turbo went on my 65 plate at 57K  Full Mazda service history plus turbo is a known fault and they would not accept my claim
