Title: warning lights
Post by: lvowles on February 19, 2020, 06:59:28 pm
Hi,
So I had a new headlight fitted on my 2015 2.2L CX-5 a few weeks after buying it as the LED running light was flickering and about a week later 4 warning lights came on:
Scbs forward malfunction
Tyre pressure light
Abs warning
Electronic hand brake,
now the check engine light is constantly on, the four other lights still come on intermittently, none of these are affecting the performance of the car but obviously its very annoying and I want to get it sorted. I have had diagnostics on it and a garage replaced the mass volume sensor as they said that was the problem but the lights are still coming on, the car has since been into Mazda after having a recall for inlet shutter valve, they suggested after diagnostics that it was leading to a carbon deposit problem, so I had an engine decarb but the lights are still coming on. I have noticed that when driving using cruise control the lights don't come on but as soon as I come off cruise control the lights come back on. I have also done a few journeys without using cruise control and have found the lights only came on as soon as I took my foot off the accelerator. Didn't really get much answers from Mazda just could be this or that and I don't really know where to start to find the problem. Has anyone heard/ had a similar problem?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

The headlight has nothing to do with it.

You need to check all the tyre pressures carefully then reset the warning.

All the other lights are telling you those items MAY not work.

my 2013 sport nav had similar intermittent warnings, turned out was the sensor cable for tyre pressure was dislodged from mount, worn through the outer sheath and was shorting out occasionally, replaced and ok since.

thanks for that Anchorman but all the lights come on at the same time so I am not sure if its the tyre pressure setting them all off but I will check tyre pressures , ive got to start somewhere to sort problem
