Title: Diesel injector cleaning
Post by: steve101 on January 25, 2020, 08:20:31 pm: 'Fast idle due to diesel injector cleaning. Drive normally.'
I've had this happen about three times now on start up. I've owned a few diesels in my time and never seen this before. Anyone experienced the same?

Post by: Anchorman on January 26, 2020, 12:40:52 pm: It only happens on the latest Adblue models and it also only happens if you start it up and then shut it off after very little duty, eg, moving it in and out of the garage. If you jump in and drive until it gets to temperature, you are unlikely to see it.

It's supposed to be the higher grade and it's cheaper than the local filling stations, so I was wondering if the fuel is not as good as they claim, hence the injector cleaning. I suppose I have started the engine once or twice without moving the car but usually only use the CX5 for longer journeys. I haven't had any physical signs that there is a fuel problem.
