Title: Intermittent mild binding sound when pulling away from standstill
Post by: mikkadol on March 26, 2018, 04:46:45 pm
My March2014 CX5 SE LD Nav 2.2L 2WD has just done 51k miles. For the last couple of months I have noticed that occasionally I get a momentary binding noise when pulling away from a stop.  Noise appears to come from front offside direction.  I have just had new front discs and pads fitted. However I still get the intermittent binding noise.  Forgot to mention it to the dealer at the time mainly because it is so intermittent.  Anybody had a similar experience/ clues as to what it might be?

Rust / salt due to the weather lately? Rust can form overnight very easily.

Calipers needing adjusting?

Thanks for the reply.  in accordance with sod's law since posting said noise has become even less frequent.  You could be right about rust and salt effects.  I'm hoping it eventually fades away.
