Title: CX 5 Omission from Owner's Manual
Post by: Gel on January 15, 2020, 09:38:19 pm
DIMENSIONS/ WEIGHT etc MISSING

Making a ferry booking I needed to check my car's dimensions.
Obvious place was to look in Specifications pages of supplied manual;
absolutely zero detail there :-\ :-\

Fortunately I had hung on to sales brochure; that had data required.

I sent feedback to MAZDA HO.
They saw nothing odd in the missing detail, but said I could order a more
comprehensive manual from Dealer; not sure if it's chargeable :P

Surely this should be in the supplied manual??

The CX-5 dimensions are also listed on the Mazda website:

https://www.mazda.co.uk/cars/mazda-cx-5/specs-and-compare/

Scroll down to "Dimensions and Weight"

I agree, it is strange this information is not included in the manual.

They are listed in the online manual.   https://owners-manual.mazda.com/gen/en/cx-5/cx-5_8gj1ee18b/contents/10020105.html?kw=DIMENSIONS&hw=DIMENSIONS

Even the online manual is confusing though. The width listed, 1840mm, does not include the mirrors!

I've never known a ferry company's requirement to be that precise that the width of the mirrors make any difference, especially when they fold in anyway.

Yes, usually its length and height. (It is on the Wightlink ferries anyway)
