Title: Alloy wheels - paint colour
Post by: Deepjoy22 on March 22, 2019, 06:14:06 pm
Hi.  I've the 2016 Sport Nav with the 19" gunmetal wheel - so an outer silver paint and an inner spokes dark grey looking paint.

Has anyone ever discovered what paint colours are best for touching up nicks and scratches (both colours).

Thanks.

They don’t usually publish that information.  A paint specialist might help.

You'd be better of going to a wheel refurbishment company such as https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ (https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/). I used someone similar to repair damage to a wheel on my 2015 2.2d sport nav when the rim was damaged and the paint scratched. Cost more than just a touch up, obviously, but the repair was invisible once done.

FYI

I've got a wheel scratch insurance policy, and just had 2 small scuffs fixed.

Technician says the wheels are an awkward colour to match, but says the colour is BLUE,
CHROME, with a SHADOW CHROME finish.

Thanks Gel.  I don't have the insurance but do you know who you used to repair the wheels.
