Title: Changing Key Fob battery
Post by: Gel on June 07, 2019, 11:09:37 am: Though my fob won't need new batteries for a bit, I see that the manual says to take to the dealer for this simple task. ???

Am I right to assume this is a simple DIY task, as it's always been on my other cars fobs?

would use that to prevent damage to key fob.

Do you know is battery a CR2025?

See fob is actually made by Mitsubishi!

I wonder if anyone else has had this grief. Battery removed from fob was showing a voltage of under 2.9v.
New one showed 3.3v. Despite fitting new fob battery I'm still getting key fob battery warning
on dash.
Will the system eventually correct itself?

I'll get some alternative cell batteries & try one to see if it fixes.

Post by: steve101 on November 24, 2019, 01:25:38 pm: Changing the battery is very easy. Charging £10 to do it is a rip off. I have recently changed mine. If you watch the video you will see how easy it is. Just make sure you use a 2025 battery. 2032 are interchangeable with 2025 if there is room but there isn't room in our key fobs. For those who don't know, 2025s are 2.5mm thick and 2032s are 3.2mm thick.
