Title: Steering wheel security devices
Post by: Frangar on March 04, 2019, 01:40:23 pm
Now trying to get some stuff in place in anticipation of taking delivery at the end of March and thinking about how to keep the car in my possession!

I’ve ordered some faraday pouches to protect the keyfobs and I’m going to get a Disklok as a physical deterrent....does anyone know what size disklok fits the CX-5?? I know from experience with other cars that sometimes although the diameter is ok the dish of the wheel means they don’t fit so wanted to check before shelling out £100+

If anyone has any other security tips that would be handy too! (PM is of course fine rather than say on an open forum!!)

Ta!

I bought the "Pro" one from Halfords....i bought the smaller (cheaper) one initially for my SportNav+ 2.2D 184ps 68 plate, but it wouldn't go round the central "bulge" of the steering wheel....just blasted the horn all the time!

Blueshyhall Professional anti theft locking device from Amazon £37.86 last year - fits my CX5 superbly, would not be without it

Just in case anyone else is wondering now we’ve taken delivery a small Disklok fits with enough room to spare to fit some foam padding to protect the steering wheel from marking.

Thanks to everyone for help & suggestions.
