Gap Insurance on a new build CX-5 - Is it worth it and any recomendations?

As the title says really...

I have ordered a new CX-5 2.2 SE-L Lux Nav and we all know a car deprecates the moment you take delivery so is Gap Insurance worth the cost and has anyone got any recommendations for providers?

Cheers all

If you're unfortunate enough to have the car written off or nicked then IMHO it's well worth it.  You can get various levels of cover, ie replace with similar car, or replace with brand new etc.  Ours are both covered by ALA, who seem to be highly respected.

Hi Bert321

This was my way of thinking too and ALA is one of only two company's that seem to offer Gap Insurance in the UK (the other being Warranty Direct).

ALA's quote for their "Vehicle Replacement Plus" policy for 5 years cover does not seem too bad and on the face of it seems to mean that in the event something happens I am guaranteed a new car of the same model/trim level.

So that's the first vote for ALA...

If you go with ALA there's always discount codes floating around. I went through the Honest John link for 10% off:

I can recommend Total Loss Gap. Very reasonable price and will replace the car with one of the same model/age/mileage in the event of disaster.
