LED Headlamps
« on: July 07, 2015, 07:18:06 pm »
Does anyone have any experience of the LED headlamps/fog lamps on the facelift Sports Nav model? How do they compare with halogen or HID? Good spread of light? Any drawbacks?

Also, do the semicircular LED DRLs in the headlamps dim when the indicators operate like on some other cars - Audis etc?

Thanks.

The xenons on my current one are the adaptive steering type, really good I find. My old Subaru Forester I had previously was really good, the CX5 is slightly better. Will be getting the new version with LEDs in about 4 weeks, so will have to do a comparison.

I would imagine that the DRLs dim as I think that's a requirement under the construction and use regulations, but don't know for sure.

The answer to the DRL's dimming when the indicators are on is NO they don't

I've not really driven it at night yet. (Only dusk ) But to me they seem to have a slight purple haze to the edge of the light.
