Rear Bumper Scuff trim

Hi all, anyone had success fitting those cheapy Chinese trims onto their rear bumper? I tried one until I noticed it was coming un stuck and it started to rub on the bottom of the boot lid! I tried re sticking it but no luck.

Not sure whether to try another one, or go for the "foil" or  transparent film instead. Be interested in other peoples experience.
