Does new battery need coding?
« on: February 14, 2023, 09:10:32 pm »
Hi all, Battery has finally given up, I have a new Varta EFB battery coming tomorrow and need to know if it has to be coded in?

2014 CX-5 Sport nav D 4x4 auto.

Thanks for any advice.
Tom.

Many will recommend you do; if the battery has same capacity/ charging rate etc., it wouldn't be necessary.
If it's of a different rating, it's likely charging rate won't be optimal for your Varta.
If you get serviced at a Mazda dealer, get em to do it at your next service.
