Title: Nokian Weatherproof SUV tyres
Post by: MuddyPaws on April 24, 2018, 11:07:01 pm
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on the Nokian Weatherproof SUV tyres: https://www.nokiantyres.com/all-weather-tyres/nokian-weatherproof-suv/

I also have a Fiat Panda 4x4 and the Nokian Weatherproof get very favourable reviews on the Fiat Panda forum. I realise the Panda is a far smaller/lighter vehicle than the CX5 but note that the Nokians are available in an SUV version, above.

I live and drive along muddy country lanes and am looking for something that will also be good on the winter snows in the country without the expense of separate winter tyres. The Nokians look the job but wondered what everyone thinks......

yes I have a set fitted on my cx5 awd and for the roads around where we live they are perfect ( muddy country lanes ) , I used them since last December so they have had use in the snow and no problems what's so ever . now the 'summer' is starting the noise etc on dry roads is just like normal

Thank you misfire85, this is good to hear. Panda users give them good reviews but I wondered if the SUV version was also good, and on a larger vehicle. The tread pattern certainly looks good for getting grip in a variety of conditions. Many reviewers seem to think that they give better grip in the dry than Michelin cross climates.

Do they do them in 225/55/19 fitment for the sport nav wheels? If so where did you buy them from?

In a word “no”. See https://www.nokiantyres.com/all-weather-tyres/nokian-weatherproof/ for a searchable list of sizes available. The SUV version is here https://www.nokiantyres.com/tyres/suv-4x4-tyres/all-weather-tyres/ but they don’t do 19” tyres
