I'm having a problem getting this off, It appears to damage the paintwork. I'm thinking of trying some kind of ceramic coating protection. Can anyone recommend a suitable treatment?

had a ceramic protection applied last week - body and alloys. I had an experience of applying ceramic coating to alloys on a previous car and it was very positive (aplied twice with a gap of a year and 4 years after the second application cleaning was still easy and water was beading). The coating is only few days old and I can't comment much, but the work by guys in a workshop was great and manage to improve a great colour even more.
went for:
Gyeon coating for body and AutoBead Silex PRO for alloys.
Not sure if it works, but here is a link to the body shop posting a photo

Thanks. That looks fantastic. How much did it cost?

Thank you.
if I tell you, my wife will kill me :)
we agreed on just shy of 800 with the most cost is for preparation.
I wouldn't go for it if I hadn't had previous experience. when touching a surface it feels like glass surface almost.

I've used Barry at Autodetox for all of my last three new cars. He's based in the West Midlands. See https://autodetox.co.uk/new-car-detail/ (https://autodetox.co.uk/new-car-detail/)
I've no connection with him other than being a very satisfied customer. Any quality ceramic coating needs to cured overnight before the final stage is applied. I'm safe as my wife knows the cost :)
