For me that'd be to low to use/see properly, a bit like when Sat Nav displays where set in the dash rather than raised. I've got a long swan neck/windscreen suction type that was £8, it allows my phone to sit perfectly between the display & dash pod.

JTA:
I have used Brodit Proclips in my last few cars and have found them to be reliable and easy to install. There is a CX-5 KF RHD specific Proclip available and this is what I have installed in my CX-5. To actually attach a phone to the Proclip, I used a Herbert Richter iGrip universal mount. Links below to various UK based sellers (I have no connection with these sellers other than being a satisfied customer)

I've got the Brodit proclip in my CX5 holding a TomTom Go 520. They are not cheap but are easy to fit and provide a solid mount. I've been looking at the Brodit mount for my phone as a future replacement. How does the Herbert Richter holder attach to the Proclip?

BigAl:
Been using Brodit for about 15 years now, have that one in the current CX5 with the Brodit S8 phone holder. Was a bit disappointed that they decided not to make an A pillar mount as they had for the previous two models, though. Much prefer having the phone in that position.

Alan.
