Mirrors and paint

Just had a recurrence of the drivers door mirror refusing to fold automatically. That's the second time in three years. Fortunately it was fixed under the extended warranty. Fingers crossed the passenger side does the same.
On another note I've noticed small bits of paint corrosion appearing on the roof just above the windscreen. As usual these have appeared just out of the three years paint warranty. Does anyone know if Mazda will entertain any claim on this or am I on my own on this issue. Never been impressed with the paint on this car. It's like tissue paper.
