I-Stop deactivation
« on: June 09, 2023, 10:33:45 pm »
Thought i would share a you tube link so you can turn off the I-Stop permanently. Everyone bleats on about this piece of crap saving money, what they don't mention is the unnecessary wear on the starter motor. I know a few people have had to spend hundreds getting starters replaced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcti8zGMdzc

iStop does not use the starter motor to restart the engine - see https://discoveryourmazda.com.au/mazda-istop-explained/
