Is Android Auto installed in the car? I belive it is an option on that year rather than standard

Just checked and I don’t have either Apple or Android installed – waiting for my Mazda dealer to get back to me now on installation………..or if I can risk doing it myself

Personally, I wouldn't bother. I've used Waze for a few years now on CX5s with both Bluetooth and Android Auto. In many ways, the Bluetooth version is better as you can connect two devices by Bluetooth at the same time, so I used one phone for calls and one phone for music and Waze audio. With the phone in a dash holder, the Waze screen is visible and it also keeps the phone charged as Waze does drain the battery quite quickly (setting the display to permanent night mode helps with that).
