AdBlue top up
« on: September 08, 2019, 08:03:53 am »
As stated on a previous post, my CX5 went in for its first service recently. They topped up all the fluids, including AdBlue, as part of the service price: no extra charge for AdBlue. The car has done 9000 miles (we have a little runabout for the city too) and the AdBlue was down to 65%.

I’ve added about 6 litres in 7000 miles and it’s never shown anything other than 100%. I gues it can go down 2 litres without showing which is a similar trait to the fuel tank which must be in the order of 10 litres before it goes down.

Ran mine to 13,500 miles on the original Adblue amount from new. At that point the warning was still showing 1000 miles remaining (warnings started appearing with 1500 miles remaining). Filled it with 10 litres at that point, back to 100% again.
