Intermittent DPF malfunctions

Hi.
I’ve had a couple of DPF malfunction messages pop up in the last couple of weeks.  Car has continued to run normally.  I’ve checked to see what DTCs are shown with a OBD reader but it says there are none and also says there are no messages to clear either.  At this point the message disappeared.

I’ve checked the oil level and that is about 50% between H and X marks

Anybody had similar messages and been advised what it means – given it shows no DTCs.

As an aside, as the level typically rises over time with failed regens, is the level between H and X a linear increase or does it increase less or more sharply as it goes up.
