Hi again peeps. Another question I'd like people's opinions on please.
The OEM tyres on these CX-5's seems to be Toyo Proxes R36, but I'm interested to see what other CX-5 owners choose as alternatives.

I recommend Michelin Latitude Sport 3s which are way better in the wet than the Toyos.
Now on Bridgestone all-seasons which are quieter but very expensive.

I'm putting 2 and 2 together here, but I'm thinking that the tyres that are currently on my car, have been on since new. The tyres are OEM equipment, and are date stamped 2014 (car is a late 2014), and if they are the original tyres, they've covered 40k miles.
Has anyone else managed to get these kind of miles from a set of tyres???

I've just changed my front pair for the Michelin's - the car has done 46000. The back set are still good for another few thousand.

Ive managed 32000 miles on Toyos CF2 with still plenty of tread depth left these have been loads better than the R36 that where fitted when purchased. Im hoping to get 40 to 45k out of them before replacing with the same.

Again, thanks for your input rmvf, but are these CF2 tyres just Summer Tyres???

No i dont think so but if there are, all the better because they have performed well thru 3 winters and regular trips to scotland. Had no issues with grip or traction in the wet. I went for these because they where cheaper than r36, if i drive with care ( tyres in mind ) the rest of year i will have doubled the mileage over the R36 type. Im not saying they are the best or better than michelins etc but at around £107 each fitted i was well happy with that

The continental premium 6s are highly rated see reviews on blackcircles. Either in the 96v or the 103 XL weight rating. Circa £130 fitted on black circles. Also have a degree of rim protection.

Another vote for the Michelin latitude 3's, replaced the Toyo's with them on my previous and will probably do the same again when my current ones wear out. Much better in wet/snow than the Toyo's. The Toyo's are rated as quieter, but I couldn't tell the difference.

sorry I didn't see this earlier.
Your tyre shop should have insisted on putting the new tyres on the back.
The best tyres are always supposed to be at the back even with front wheel drive.
