Hi peeps. After owning my 2014 CX-5 for 12 months, I've been reading that it is a twin turbo diesel! Is it really? ???
It's the 2.2 sport nav diesel model.
Many Thanks in advance

Yes it does. It has one small one for low output and then it switches to a large one for higher demands. I’ve got a pdf somewhere.

Thanks for the reply Anchorman, it's only taken a year for me to find that out
Cheers ;D

Anchorman can correct me if I'm wrong but would it be a good idea to give it some revs sometimes to ensure the larger turbocharger moving parts keep working correctly?

I do that anyway Jonno. I often select a lower gear on the motorway for short periods of time, just so the engine is revving slightly higher than normal, but I never 'Flog' it as they say. Good for the DPF I believe

I think you’ll find it works frequently on the bigger turbo under different stages of load rather than speed. By the way, our turbo on the single exhaust diesels are slightly different in that they have a variable nozzle turbo. Have I got a pdf???
