Title: Speed cam data Europe

Hi all,
as a new CX-5 owner (from Germany) I played around with the SatNav a little and found that there is no data in the speedcam folder on the SD Card for Germany and France.
Is that also true for your SatNavs? Woudl anybody be so nice to have a look and see if there is data for those two countries?

Hi Zapp,

I haven't checked the card but my satnav gives me camera alerts when I'm driving. I hope this helps.

not really...

The thing is I'm  wondering if the speedcam data for Germany and France is just not included on our cards or on all cards.
The reason is that in Germany (and France) you are not allowed to sell the speedcam data with any new satnav (mobile or installed).
So we are trying to find out if the speedcam POI's are installed on other cards around Europe and we need someone to look in the folder on the card.

Hi in France it is illegal to have any device that will alert you to speed camera positions even if it is switched off . So satnav manufacturers won't supply units with this information on . However the speed alerts are ok .
