Morning all.
Last week I picked up my new CX-5, the first thing I did once home was download the Mazda S/W and download the latest maps, or so I thought.
We've had a new road built near us the A5758, open since September last year, my previous CX-5 TomTom included this road straight away but the Mazda SatNav still doesn't show this.
When I insert my SD card it says it's up to date, any one know how often / when the maps get updated, or am I missing something?

I would guess that it's probably just down to whoever provides the mapping data, I think it's different for the TomTom and the MZD system (Navtec rings a bell). Also the TomTom system had a user feedback facility in it that allowed users to notify changes like that. I think that may have resulted in more frequent updates?

I believe the last update was Nov 2015, so maybe the road will be on the next update, i believe there are only two updates a year?
The new road on our stretch of the A57 is on the map, open about a year.

Thanks all.
I heard the new system is NAVTEC, as are Garmin satnavs. I had a Garmin a few years ago and wasn't impressed with their mapping.

I think the maps are now supplied by Here (which is now part owned by Audi). I had a road (in Spain) that had been in existence for some years that was missing when I got may car last September - so I found a link to Here and reported it and when the November update came out it was there (though being a cynic I think that was coincidence).
I've also noticed that there is a new version of the MZD system due soon - 58.00.220 but that won't fix missing roads.
