Hi all
I pick up my new CX-5 2.2d SE-L next week from Norwich and have a long drive back to home.
Is there a top speed I must not go over with a brand new engine
and how many miles on the clock before it's considered to be
run-in?
Thanks all.

I think it's engine revs rather than top speed that you need to worry about. I asked the dealer about this when I collected my new CX-5 back in 2015 and they said that modern engines are pretty well run in anyway but not to red line the engine in the first 1000 miles or so (not that I planned to do that, anyway!)

With a 2.2 diesel you'll still be running the thing in at 5,000km +. Generally speaking, don't thrash the thing, allow it time to warm up a bit (diesel takes longer than petrol), don't red line it, vary the speed e.g. no sitting on the motorway at a constant 70 for six hundred miles lol and be considerate with gear changing.

Great advice and thank you, really appreciate it ;D
