Problems after vacuum pump and ECM update recall
« on: May 31, 2019, 12:22:23 pm »
So I had a recent recall during which the dealer updated my software and replaced the vacuum pump. But just before I went in for the recall i had the engine management light come on with the code p2262. The dealer then contacted Mazda who advised them to replace the turbo which they did. I received the car back and I noticed pretty much straight away something was not right with it. It seems lumpy at around 1500rpm and when I put my foot down to really accelerate there is a quite significant turbo lag and then the EML comes on again with the cose p2262. This happens every time.
I'm in contact with the dealer who are awaiting advice from Mazda

Has anyone else had this?

Thanks

If the turbo has gone then it’s almost certain that the camshaft has gone and put swarf in the oilways starving turbo of oil.  As it is a well known problem you should be ok for goodwill and should get it all fixed at their expense.

The turbo hadn't gone but the code came on and they replaced it with a new turbo. Now the new turbo has a laf which is bringing the code on
