« on: April 05, 2016, 05:55:01 pm »
Hello everyone,

I'm interested to know what cleaning products the forum members are using for keeping the exterior plastic trim in good condition.

This stuff. As before, purchased and used following recommendation and more than satisfied. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surf-City-Garage-Rubber-Dressing/dp/B009ENKJZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459876156&sr=8-1&keywords=Surf+City+Garage+Black+MAX

This stuff also comes highly rated although I personally haven't used it. Should be available in the UK as other Koch Chemistry stuff is although I can't find it so here's the link to the German Amazon sight so you can see what the container looks like. http://www.amazon.de/Koch-Chemie-Plast-silicon%C3%B6lfrei-Kunststoffpflege/dp/B00S3M715O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459876432&sr=8-1&keywords=Koch+Chemie+PlastStar

I've used AutoFinesse Revive, as well as CarPro PERL in the past - both good but don't last very long.
I've just bought a bottle of GTechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer which is very highly regarded over on the detailing world forum (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/gtechniq-c4-permanent-trim-restorer/prod_851.html) although Solution Finish (http://www.frost.co.uk/solution-finish-black-trim-restorer-plastics-vinyl.html) has been recommended a fair amount as well.
Versatuner 175bhp map, H&R Wheel Spacers, Red Ambient Lighting, Sony XAV-AX100, Upgraded speakers, Leather Handbrake/Gearlever Gaiters + Armrest, Red Door Piping LED Interior/Exterior Lighting, Exhaust Tips...and about 50kg of sound deadening!

Thanks for the reply and post Richard, I'm going to try the products Deeps recommended  first, obviously nothing wrong with your recommendation but as the trim is in good condition already even on the 2012 model I just want to preserve as is for now. I will do a detail this summer and post photo links for photobucket.

No worries! I'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures of your products and I'll post some of the GTechniq :)
