The tank Urea tank location looks interesting by creating a possible conflict with any towbar fitting. Difficult to be say for sure but I trust the engineers would have thought of that.
It would also be nice, considering the relatively low number of CX-5 diesels when compared to say VW, that current vehicles could be retro fitted. Talking to my dealer yesterday he agreed, but wouldn't be precise, when I stated that in-house diesel sales must have hit rock bottom possibly a fall off in the region of 40%. I was left with the distinct feeling that 40% was a very conservative figure and that actual fall off in diesel sales was much higher. He also stated, although in general terms because I didn't exactly ask what my 3-year old vehicle would be worth in trade-in value, that the dealership wouldn't accept it as trade-in bearing in mind what I've just said regarding sales figures.
