parking sensors not working

hi everyone my parking sensors both front and back dont work  theres no ticking comming from any of them on the screen in the car  it shows 2 yellow triangles with ? and beeps 5 times ive took it to a auto electrician and none of his machines could get a reading from anything about the parking sensors ( read everything else) i bought a icarsoft  diagnostic machine and same again i can read everything else but nothing to do with parking sensors ? any one know why there not working and why diagnostic machines cant read

The later models have a button low down on the dash to switch them off.  Has yours by any chance?

yes ive tried it by putting in reverse to activate them and ive used the button to activate them still nothing

I’m fairly sure they are controlled by the rear body control module.  If that goes it could be expensive. Has it ever had a towbar fitted?

no not that i know of thderes no sign of a tow bar being fitted
