Nav muting music but no voice playing? (facelift)
« on: September 24, 2015, 08:14:44 am »
Folks,

I just got me new facelift car.

I started a journey and the voice lowered the music volume and gave directions.

1/2 way through the journey it still muted the music but no voice was announced.

I checked the volume, stopped directions and started again and it still did the same...

It worked ok on the way home.....

Worrying start, I hope this is not a bug, any tips / thoughts ?

Martin

You have to go into the sat nav settings on the sat nav page. It as its own volume settings and you can adjust it from there. Also you have tick the various boxes as to what warnings you would like,
Speed cameras, speed limits etc

I checked that and the volume was fine...

The point was it stopped working, then when i drove home it was ok even though I hadn't changed anything...

But I will double check so thanks for the reply

The new V56 firmware was only available for UK release last week.  My car - which arrived at the dealership last Monday from the factory (14 week order lead!) had V51 and was due to be upgraded for me to collect on Friday 25th.
The upgrade did NOT happen as planned, as Mazda UK sent out a hold.  So mine is back at the dealers tomorrow for it to be done.

What reason were you given, that Mazda UK had put out a hold on this procedure ?

My car had the v56 version fitted when I collected it on Tuesday
